Practice 18:
It’s ok if your mind needs a break.
When you have one of those moments when your mind isn’t working and you can’t track the thirty different things you’re trying to manage:

  • don’t panic –
  • give yourself permission to pause –
  • jump, dance, or tap your arms & legs –
  • sing, hum, or laugh –
  • track 5 breaths –
  • move your body more –
    And then gently, gently bring yourself back to what truly does need to be addressed in the present moment.
