Practice 6:
Feel physical support as a metaphor for energetic and spiritual support
Pause, breathe, and feel the places of contact between your body and whatever is holding your weight. As if you are thinking and feeling in slow motion, slowly move your attention along your body, feeling each point of contact. And then feel the effect of that physical holding on the parts of your body that are being held only indirectly.
Superimpose over the physical holding an image or sense of the emotional support, community support, spiritual support and personal support that you have as well as the support that you want to have.
“Through my body I am feeling this way that I am being held and/or that I want to be held.”
