Somatic Personal Practice

It’s ok for me to be me.

One way of describing the work of healing developmental trauma is gradually – small step by small step – walking toward the place where I can feel, sense, and know that:

It’s ok for me to be me.

Notice in yourself what comes alive with these words, or what shrinks or numbs out.

“It’s ok for me to be me!”

Under the surface, there are many ways my body “knows” that it’s not ok for me to be me. Being me created a lot of problems, starting very young.

So this is an incremental and intentional unlearning and relearning – through the body – over time.

It’s ok for me to be me.
