Sometimes when you feel “I don’t know how to do this” it is actually not the truth.
Sometimes we know how to do things but
- it’s uncomfortable
- we don’t get positive feedback
- the results we expect don’t happen or
- something in us is afraid due to past experiences
Try on any of these:
“I’m not sure whether I know how to do this or not, and I’m curious how to find out.”
“I think that if I knew how to do this, then [ ] would happen.” Explore your beliefs and expectations.
“I’m thinking of someone I respect who knows how to do this well, whom I can observe and perhaps mimic.”
