Somatic Personal Practice

Whenever there is an ongoing problem or challenge, there are always two parallel tracks to follow in navigating and managing the problem.

This applies whether the problem is inside yourself or is an external situation.

One track is about how to bring about lasting change so that the problem goes away or becomes less.

The other track is about how to suffer less, react less, be less contorted even as the problem exists just as it is.

Both are important.

Something in me might think that the whole thing simply can’t change, and all I can do is live with it.

And something in me might believe that as long as it is the way it is, my degree of suffering around it is inevitable.

Often some degree of both long term change and short term inner relief are possible
