It’s been a long time.

I haven’t sent out a newsletter since November last year.
The election of Donald Trump to the US Presidency was an existential shock for me, as I know it was for a lot of people.
And of course, the more that bad stuff happens, in our lives and in the world, the more important it is for us to do our practices, whatever connects us to resource and support.
I invite you to take a moment right now and ask yourself, “What do I know how to do for self-care, connection, aliveness, and grounding that I have not been doing? What might I want to add to my daily or weekly practices?”
It’s so interesting. When I asked myself that question just now, I jumped around a bit but landed here: I want to explicitly remind myself several times a day, “It’s ok for me to be who I am.”
“It’s ok for me to be who I am.”
I have been learning that lesson over and over, and when I feel into my body, I realize that I need to keep learning it, probably many more times, because the habit of “knowing” that it’s NOT ok for me to be me has been a deep and well-worn groove for a long time. (I know that’s redundant, but I don’t think it can be overstated how entrenched this belief has been.)
I hope you are doing as well as possible given the circumstances.
Here’s a little song I created – it’s so little it seems almost silly.
“The earth is the earth; the sky is the sky; the earth is wide; the sky is wide.”
Here’s a recording of my little song
It seems almost silly, but my body forgets, my body thinks I’m isolated and disconnected from everything, thrashing around trying to make my way. And this simple song gets my body to remember that there is a great Earth under me and a great Sky over me. Even if I haven’t made my way outside to look at them, they are there. And then I feel a bit connected and a bit supported and less like I’m being tossed about by the wind.
And while I haven’t put out a newsletter and I haven’t been on social media much in several months, I have been doing a lot here in my space.
SSP and RRP
One development is that I am now able to offer access to both the Safe and Sound Protocol™ and the Rest and Restore Protocol™ from Unyte. I can make either or both of these available to current clients. I can also make them available to you if you are a trauma professional or if you are working with a trauma professional and you have a solid support system in place for yourself.
Both of these protocols consist of filtered music that you listen to over time. The Safe and Sound Protocol™ is designed to support feelings of safety and connection in the body. From the point of view of PolyVagal Theory, it is working with the ventral vagal branch of the parasympathetic nervous system.
The Rest and Restore Protocol™ is designed to entrain with the deeper body systems to reduce stuckness and increase flexibility and flow. From the point of view of PolyVagal Theory, it is working with the dorsal vagal branch of the parasympathetic nervous system.
I have published an article on my website here that talks more about each of these and about how to work with them. Please contact me if you are interested in accessing either the SSP or the RRP through me.
Global High Intensity Activation
I have also updated my article about Global High Intensity Activation. I’ve added some information about Syndromal Physiology and about Energy Wells. You can find the updated article here. I encourage you to read this article if you have a hard time being in your body and in the world, and if you have not read it before.
I do continue to have space for additional transformational somatic trauma coaching clients. My guess is that I’m somewhere between 6 months and 18 months away from having to start a waiting list for new clients. So, if you have been waiting for the right moment to reach out and try working with me, check in with yourself to see if this is that moment. If this is the moment, just click on the blue box below labeled “Schedule a 45 minute discovery call with Rosalie”.
I wish for good things for you and the people you love
